Tryfina Kgokong — Property Specialist, Development Professional & Strategic Advisor

Tryfina Kgokong is an accomplished property and built-environment professional with more than 19 years of experience spanning construction, quantity surveying, property development, asset management, business leadership and strategic advisory services.

Her career is underpinned by an impressive academic and professional foundation. She holds a BSc in Construction Studies and an Honours degree in Quantity Surveying from the University of Cape Town, as well as a Master’s degree in Business Management and Administration from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. She has further strengthened her property expertise through the Property Development Programme offered by UCT and SAPOA, the Property Entrepreneurship Programme with UCT and SAIBPP, and Green Star Professional accreditation through the Green Building Council South Africa.

Professionally registered as PMAQS, SACQSP, MRICS and GBCSA, Tryfina brings a multidisciplinary understanding of the complete property lifecycle—from feasibility, cost management and development planning through to construction, investment and property value creation.

Her international experience includes major projects across South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Lebanon. Her portfolio encompasses a diverse range of developments, including shopping centres, commercial offices, residential and mixed-use developments, five-star hotels, airports, schools, correctional facilities and major infrastructure projects. Among her most notable assignments was the Abu Dhabi International Airport, a landmark project valued at approximately AED 10.8 billion.

After spending five years working in the United Arab Emirates, Tryfina returned to South Africa with a clear vision to contribute meaningfully to the country's property and built environment sectors. In 2019, she founded Triumphant Zoe (Pty) Ltd, establishing a platform through which she could combine her technical expertise, business acumen and passion for property to create meaningful value for clients and stakeholders.

Beyond technical property expertise, Tryfina is a qualified Life and Business Coach and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Practitioner. Her leadership philosophy is centred on purpose, integrity, excellence and empowering people to achieve their personal and professional potential.

Her leadership and industry contribution are demonstrated through her involvement with leading professional organisations. She has served on the boards of the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors (ASAQS) and the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP), and has served as Chairperson of the SAPOA Property Development Committee. These roles reflect her commitment to advancing professional standards, transformation, leadership and sustainable growth within South Africa's property sector.

Tryfina's achievements have also received industry recognition. She was nominated as a Women in Construction Rising Star and has been recognised for her leadership and entrepreneurial contribution, including being a finalist in the Inclusive Leader category of the Gender Mainstreaming Awards.
