I am Jana Miles, a South African creative professional based in Rustenburg, in the North West province. I am a devoted wife, a proud mother of two beautiful children, an entrepreneur and, above all, someone who believes that the most meaningful work comes from combining passion with purpose. I am blessed to share my life with my wonderful, intelligent husband, Calvin, a Senior Printer Technician at Consensus in Rustenburg. We have been married for seven years and have known each other for almost fifteen years, making us true high-school sweethearts. Together, we have built a life grounded in love, commitment, and shared dreams. I am also fortunate and privileged to be the mother of our two precious children: our little girl, Janimine, who is two years old, and our little boy, Christo, who is five. They are a constant source of joy, inspiration, and motivation, reminding me every day of the importance of building a future filled with opportunity, stability, and love.

My journey has taught me that success is not simply about reaching a destination; it is about the people we meet, the lessons we learn and the difference we make along the way. My family is at the heart of my ambitions, inspiring me to grow not only as a professional but also as a person, and to pursue my dreams with determination, gratitude, and purpose.

My professional journey has taken me through marketing, business administration, customer service, event management, and media production. Each experience has shaped the person I am today, teaching me the importance of perseverance, adaptability, communication, and understanding people. I have learned to embrace challenges as opportunities to grow, and I approach every new venture with curiosity, determination, and a willingness to learn.

My Passion for Marketing and why Real Estate

Marketing has always appealed to me because it is so much more than selling a product or service. It is about understanding people, recognising what makes something special and communicating that value in a way that creates a genuine connection. I love the creative process of taking an idea and turning it into a story that captures attention, inspires emotion, and leaves a lasting impression.

This is what draws me to real estate marketing. A property is more than walls, rooms and square metres. It can represent a fresh beginning, a family's future, a place of belonging or the realisation of a lifelong dream. I want to help people see the possibilities within a property by presenting it in a way that allows them to imagine the life they could build there.

For me, successful property marketing brings together creativity, strategy, and human connection. It requires an understanding of the market- which I still have a lot to learn about -, an appreciation for presentation, and the ability to communicate a property's unique character. I am excited by the opportunity to combine my marketing experience with my creative abilities to help properties stand out, build trust with prospective buyers, and support meaningful connections between people and the places they may one day call home.

Through the Lens: Photography, Videography and Storytelling

Creativity has always been an important part of who I am. My interests extend into writing, music, singing, playing guitar, directing, acting, reading, photography, and film. I enjoy exploring ideas, creating something from nothing, and finding different ways to communicate a message or emotion.

My experience in video production and editing with DigiTV Comms, together with my own creative business, Stardust Productions, has given me the opportunity to turn this passion into practical experience. Through producing videos, filming school events, creating marketing content, working with equipment, and editing footage, I have discovered just how powerful visual storytelling can be.

Photography and videography allow me to notice the details that others might overlook: the way light falls across a room, the character of a space, the atmosphere of a moment, or the small details that make something memorable. I believe that a strong photograph can invite someone in, while a thoughtfully created video can help them experience a place before they have even stepped through its doors.

Through Stardust Productions, I have also learned the value of building relationships, understanding a client's vision, and delivering work with care. Running a business has taught me to balance creativity with responsibility, from planning and production to administration, finances, and client communication. These experiences have strengthened my belief that creativity is most powerful when it is supported by professionalism, consistency, and a clear understanding of the client's needs.

The Person Behind the Professional

I would describe myself as passionate, adaptable, organised, people-focused and resilient. I enjoy taking initiative, solving problems, coordinating projects, and bringing people together to achieve a common goal. My experience across different industries has taught me to remain calm under pressure, manage competing responsibilities, and approach challenges with a practical, positive, and out-of-the-box mindset.

Being a wife and mother has deepened my appreciation for family, commitment, and the importance of building a meaningful future. It has taught me patience, responsibility, and the value of making the most of every opportunity. I believe that genuine success should not come at the expense of our values; it should reflect them.

I am also someone who believes in continuous growth. Although my circumstances prevented me from completing my business studies at the time, I still aspire to finish my qualification when the opportunity allows. I see learning as a lifelong journey and believe that there is always room to develop new skills, gain knowledge, and become better at what we do.

My vision for the future is to build a meaningful and lasting career in marketing, graphic design, photography, videography, and social media.
