Located on the far southern side of the peninsula amid unspoilt fynbos, Noordhoek has a rare rural tranquillity, and even though it is at least an hour’s drive into the city during peak times, its location attracts buyers, they say.
The suburb lies in an environmentally sensitive valley, completely encircled by Table Mountain Trust and Parks board land and is fronted by the stunning 8km Long Beach that stretches up to a wetlands area.

The average sales price for the suburb has climbed dramatically over the last year. It now sits at just over R3 million, up year-on-year by 50% from just over R2 million for the preceding 2013/4 12 month period.
There is a restriction on sub-division below around a quarter of an acre (approximately 1 000sqm) and properties therefore range upwards of a quarter to about five acres along with larger smallholdings.
Land prices start at around R1.9 million (1/4 acre) to R11.9 million for 6.4 acres of land in the heart of Noordhoek, they say.
Homes currently range from R3.85 million to R28 million on five acres. At Lake Michelle, where Seeff has just sold a quarter acre vacant stand for the record price of over R2.6 million, compared to the previous highest price of R1.564 million, achieved in August 2010, house prices start at R3.2 million for a cottage on a quarter of an acre of land.
