After working at one of South Africa’s most reputable estate agencies, and also acquiring properties of his own, Dean Hewitt – founder of Nu Generation Homes – realized that there was a need in the market to make the buying and selling of homes more affordable.

While Dean had noticed that some agencies had adopted a new business model whereby they charged a fixed fee for their services, which was typically less than the standard commission rates, he had also noticed that this typically went hand in hand with less personal contact and professional advice.

Based on his experience in property sales, Dean knew that this was not in the best interest of property sellers and buyers as it exposed them to some of the many potential pitfalls that may arise from a property sale.
