Built by Grinaker-LTA Building, part of the JSE-listed Aveng Group, this development was recently recognised with a Highly Commended Award in the Construction World Best Projects competition.
The building is situated on Summit Road, Morningside. It comprises accommodation for 151 delegates, a parkade, auditorium, classrooms, dining areas and breakaway rooms. In order to blend in with the suburban landscape of Morningside, the development features low, domestically-scaled buildings. Natural building materials have been employed to create a clear and uncluttered style. Its unique landscaping features include a lake that is overlooked by the training centre's restaurant.
