Hyde Park Terrace luxury homes to launch soon

Hyde Park in Johannesburg is home to some of the country’s wealthiest multi-millionaires and a few of the highest corporate rental leases in Gauteng, and now the second phase of the Hyde Park Terrace estate will be launching, offering master-designed homes off plan.

The 12 recently completed homes in Hyde Park Terrace, ranging from 450sqm to 565sqm under roof are priced from R 6.65 million, and have every luxury feature a large family could desire, says Fisher.

This is according to Glen Fisher, Seeff’s Developments Director in Sandton, who says that there is no other development opportunity like Hyde Park Terrace in the Sandton area and surrounds, and obtaining property here will ensure an enviable address to any home hunter looking to live in an upmarket, secure environment.

Fisher says the lavish triple storey units in phase 2 of the development each have three or four en suite bedrooms, designer kitchens and covered terraces.

He says prices escalate to the R9 million mark for mansions, and there is no transfer duty.

The first 19 units in phase 1 are complete, and have already been occupied, with the homeowners' association up and running, says Fisher.

“Phase 3 consists of the remaining 27 units, individually designed by master architect, Gavin Warburton, which are all off-plan options where clients can select a building package that can be completed in 12 months.”

Stands vary from 415sqm to 560sqm, and are priced from R1.5 million. Building packages are from 250sqm to 600sqm, and complete packages are priced from R4.7 million.

“This phase is expected to complete the development by March 2017,” he says.

Charles Vining, Seeff’s Managing Director in Sandton says Hyde Park Terrace is not only a fantastic investment for residential purposes, but would be a sound investment for buy-to-let buyers as the residential rental market in Sandton is on the up.

He says this is mainly due to the area’s extensive commercial development in the past couple of years, which has led to an unprecedented demand for rental accommodation.

“Hyde Park Terrace is set to sell fast with the exceptional pricing offered,” says Vining.
