Roodepoort

Roodepoort

Roodepoort, loosely translated as “red valley” in Afrikaans, gets its name from the red soil in the area. Situated in Johannesburg, Roodepoort is a fast-growing residential area, offering pleasant suburbs amongst the red-soiled hills, many with great views of the city to the east and the Magaliesburg to the west.

Roodepoort’s growing population is due to the dominating small industries and businesses in the area as well as the Monash University South Africa, UNISA Florida campus and famous Gauteng attractions such as the Cradle of Humankind, Magaliesburg and Pilanesburg. The famous Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden, previously Witwatersrand National Botanical Gardens, is also located in Roodepoort.

The influx of middle class individuals and families to the area is a result of its close proximity to other large Gauteng cities and well-established and advanced infrastructure available, including excellent transport routes such as Ontdekkers Road, Hendrik Potgieter Road, Beyers Naude Drive and Christiaan de Wet Road. Roodepoort’s student hotspots, restaurants, shopping centres and beautiful gardens including Westgate, Constantia and Florida Lake, are the town’s big attractions.

Property buyers are lined up to invest in beautiful lavish homes, farm properties and large business plots. Business opportunities are set to soar as more developing areas rise and people find their dream home in a comfortable suburb or stylish flat in town. Find yours in the beautiful Honeydew or Willowbrook, or invest in your dream to own a business in Florida Park or the Roodepoort town.
