What to expect at this year’s Cape Homemakers Expo

The 2017 Cape Homemakers Expo will celebrate this year’s theme, ‘A Tribute to Your Home’, with an impressive range of home and gardening products, and professional advice under one roof. 

Pick up insider knowledge on practical DIY, easy home makeovers and great culinary tips straight from the professionals at the Home | Tuis theatre.

The expo will take place from 31 August to 3 September at the CTICC, and will showcase some inspirational ideas and features, including highlights such as take it OUTSIDE, the MARKET, for the love of CONCRETE Design Competition and the 12 Izitulo Design Challenge. 

Here’s what to expect… 

Tuis theatre 

Pick up insider knowledge on practical DIY, easy home makeovers and great culinary tips straight from the professionals at the Home | Tuis theatre. 

On-trend pieces 

live by DESIGN offers a hand-picked collection of on-trend interiors, bespoke décor and fabrics, as well as beautiful soft furnishings for the home. 

Homemade décor 

The artisan square promises to offer an eclectic mix of distinctive crafts and designs, from handmade homeware, ceramics and leather goods to local designs, art and custom jewellery.


Turn your outdoors into an oasis at take it OUTSIDE, which will showcase alfresco lifestyle ideas, from outdoor furniture, homeware, cookware and stylish entertaining, to garden décor and tools of the trade. 

Tickets cost R80 for adults, R70 for pensioners and entrance is free for children under 12. 

From Thursday to Saturday the show will start at 10am until 8pm, and 10am until 6pm on Sunday. 

It’s competition time! 

Twenty double tickets are up for grabs. To win, email your name and surname with the email subject line: Property24/Cape HOMAKERS Expo. The first 20 entrants will each receive double tickets to the show.

1. The competition opens at 16h00 on Monday, 21 August 2017 and closes at 16h00 on Wednesday, 23 August 2017.

2. The closing time will be judged according to Property24's watch.

3. Only one entry per email address is permitted.

4. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

5. The prize cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash.

6. Previous competition winners may enter.

7. The winner will be contacted directly via email by a representative from Property24 or the sponsor.
