M'langa development launched

01 Jul 2008
A new fly-fishing village has been launched in the Mpumalanga town of Machadodorp.

Signal Hill Fly Fishing Village consists of 41 units, of which 17 have been sold and registered, says Glen Tweedie of the Aida office in Belfast.

"Machadodorp is a prime fly-fishing destination and, being just two hours away from Pretoria, Sandton and the OR Tambo International Airport by road, is a favourite getaway among Gauteng proponents of the art."

The development will include a club house with pub and restaurant facilities for the exclusive use of residents. The entire village will be fenced with palisade and access will be restricted through a gatehouse.

Prices for the remaining 22 units range from R479k to R799k and include the stand, building package and VAT. A choice of three building packages is available and units are either single or double storey with two or three loft bedrooms. Each unit has a fireplace and braai facilities.

Machadodorp, in the heart of the Highveld Meander, is situated along the main route to the Kruger National Park and within striking distance of the mineral spa at Badplaas. The town offers all the usual shopping facilities and there are several golf courses in the area. It is close to other popular fly-fishing venues such as Belfast and Dullstroom.
