Holiday and conferencing resort on the West Coast up for auction

28 Jan 2018

Weskusplek, a holiday and conferencing resort that has a restaurant, conference room and overnight accommodation, will be auctioned on 14 of February.

The property is on 3 000sqm and the sale includes a fully furnished 80-seater restaurant, stone-built conference facility pluschapel, and three cottages that sleep 10-15 people.

The resort is the ultimate getaway spot and is uniquely situated on a narrow peninsula between the secluded Jacobsbaai on the one side and the expansive white-sand beach of Hospital Bay on the other side, two steps away from the Atlantic Ocean.

The property, located at 1 Beach Road, brings in a comfortable R66 000 monthly in rental income, with an escalation clause of 8% per annum and an exit clause of one month.

It’s a great investment opportunity and its three comprising parts are established, and are of the highest quality, says Tanya Jovanovski, Franchisee of Rawson Auctions in Western Cape.

The restaurant, positioned on the high-tide mark, offers its guests marvellous views of Jacobsbaai. The menu is designed to accentuate the hidden treasures of the West Coast in a perfect blend of home-cooking and the finest of gourmet cuisine. The wine list is nothing but an honest tribute to the cellar masters of the district.

The fully equipped stone-built conference facility can seat 40 delegates classroom- style or 80 delegates cinema style, for workshops, teambuilding sessions, planning meetings and staff training. When the occasion calls for it, this facility is easily converted into a quaint chapel, for a romantic wedding or a christening.

The overnight cottages are well-furnished and equipped, and have lovely sea views. Each cottage has two double en-suite units and a self-catering unit, consisting of a double en-suite room, living area with additional beds, fully equipped kitchen and a sea-view patio.

“As for Jacobsbaai, it is a small seaside village on the West Coast of South Africa, unspoiled by invasive development. Situated in close proximity to both Saldanha Bay and Vredenburg, with an airstrip only 8km away, a visit to the village offers a unique experience of the overwhelming beauty of the fynbos-framed seaside, contrasted by naked strips of land with a curious charm,” says Tanya Jovanovski, Franchisee of Rawson Auctions in Western Cape.

The auction will take place at the Rawson Property Group head office on the 14 February, 2018, at 12 noon, 222 Main Road, Rondebosch in Cape Town.

The reserve price is R10 million, but all offers will be reviewed.

In following with the terms of Rawson Auctions, there is no registration fee to bid. However, 5% deposit of the purchase price, as well as 10% commission plus VAT over and above the purchase price is to be paid to Rawson Auctions by the buyer on acceptance of the seller. Bidders are required to be registered and must have with them certified copies of their identity documents and proof of residence.
