Karen Hepburn has been practicing law for approximately 18 years. Karen started practicing law in 1992 at Austen Smith (after having served articles as an articled clerk at Austen Smith since 1990.) She quickly progressed through the firm, becoming a partner in 1995. In 2003, Karen became the senior Commercial partner for the firm. Karen is a qualified Conveyancer with 13 years extensive experience
In June 2004, Karen left Austen Smith to form the partnership A P Smith & Hepburn in order to provide quality service in a more personalized environment. AP Smith & Hepburn quickly grew and employed 12 people. . Karen headed up the Conveyancing Department at AP Smith & Hepburn. Karen secured and attended to all the transfers from the Kranskop Land Claim which totaled approximately R110 million. Karen is also very experienced in Commercial law, Estate Planning and Trusts.
In November 2006, Karen moved her offices to Hilltops Office Park. Karen specialises in Commercial Law, Trust Formation, Trust and Estate Administration, Estate Planning, and Conveyancing.
