Situated about 20 km from Stilbaai
, a farm that's been turned into a private nature reserve has now come on to the market at R11m. Klipfontein
has various fountains providing fresh water - and underground water in abundance. A borehole provides the main house and cottages with water and the power is from Eskom.
In terms of accommodation, the main house has various rooms, downstairs and upstairs.
"It is for the owner to decide what he wants to do with them. There are also two one-bedroom guest cottages with open-plan kitchens and living areas with a fire place for the winter evenings. These cottages are placed about 500m from the main house overlooking the valley. With special consent from local government you will be able to build more units on the farm," says Elsabé Franken from Seeff
The stables and store rooms near the house have been converted into a gallery. Current owner Hannes Zaaiman uses this space to house exhibitions of antique furniture and paintings, and talks on subjects ranging from antiques to conservation in general, including fynbos, are held here. This gallery would be suitable as a venue for many other projects.
