The 72-unit luxury residential development, The Auroras, situated in the heart of the Umhlanga New Town Centre, is now in the final stages of completion with a number of owners taking up occupation towards the end August (2006), says Sally Schenk, joint area principal for Pam Golding Properties Umhlanga office.
"The developers, M&F Giuricich, who are known for their success in extensive upmarket commercial and residential developments in Gauteng, have now released the remaining 14 completed units for sale. We will be marketing these on site in Aurora Drive from August 4, priced from R1.808 000 for a two bedroom duplex unit of 120sqm. No transfer duty is payable," says Schenk.
"The finishes are unparalleled in this area and the developer's vision was to make a statement with the quality of the development which they have created," adds Peter Pringle, joint area principal for PGP. The luxury homes at The Auroras have top of the range finishes and fittings, are fully air conditioned and include patios on either side. There is a heated swimming pool within the complex, which has four secure off-street entrances. The seven storey building has two lifts, 24 hour security with access control and CCTV cameras and is situated in an area which is typified by attractive piazzas with fountains and scenic landscaping. Gateway shopping centre's numerous restaurant and entertainment facilities are within walking distance.
"We find the Umhlanga New Town Centre a vibrant area in which to develop property. It's an area which has truly embraced the concept of secure urban living to its full potential - a key benefit which residents of The Auroras will enjoy, along with all the other lifestyle advantages of living within the New Town Centre," says Florian Giuricich, one of the four brothers who comprise the M & F Giuricich development team.
The Auroras was designed by the renowned GAPP Architects and Urban Design, who won the prestigious Fulton Award for their design of the Millennium Bridge in Umhlanga. They have been involved since the outset, working closely with Moreland Developments in the design, planning and development of the New Town Centre. "Our intention was to design an exclusive and sophisticated development comprising a mix of mews, lofts and high street living, of the calibre and stylish design that you would find in upmarket areas of London and New York. We are extremely pleased with the result and the demand for these homes bears testament to the success of this theme," says Glen Gallagher of GAPP Architects.
In addition, the developers have secured the services of an upmarket decorating company who offer a turnkey solution for the units at very competitive prices - ideal for corporate buyers. The show units will be furnished by them in modern and contemporary styles to assist buyers who are interested in using their services.
