Seeff’s new West Rand business manager

Seeff Northern region is proud to announce that Gavin Vickers has been appointed to the position of West Rand business manager.  

“We welcome Gavin to the Seeff team,” says Tony Ketcher, MD of Seeff Randburg and West Rand.

In this position, he will be working closely with all the branches in the greater West Rand area, maintaining a focus on strategic planning and sales, rentals and developments. 

Vickers has a wealth of experience in banking, real estate and property development.  

He worked for Standard Bank, Nedbank and Rand Merchant Bank for 11 years and later established his own real estate and property construction business, where he was focused on various residential property developments for over a decade, achieving outstanding sales and marketing figures including selling over 2 000 units between 2004 and 2008, ranging from R450 000 to R2 million per unit. 

The multi-lingual Vickers has a BComm in Industrial Psychology and Real Estate, he is also a member of several professional organisations, including Enterprise Risk South Africa and Windhoek Business Professionals, and has considerable independent venture consultancy experience.  

He has provided expert assistance to board level for development companies and as an accomplished corporate strategist consultant. 

Vickers has also managed and increased profits in various businesses and structured finance solutions of over R1-billion for various developments.  

He has compiled and presented comprehensive finance packs including full feasibility costings and marketing strategies to the various finance houses.

Constantly seeking new challenges, Vickers recently accepted the position at Seeff West Rand and his appointment signals Seeff Properties’ ongoing intention of enhancing and increasing the Seeff presence and brand awareness in the area.

Ketcher says Gavin has extensive business knowledge, real estate expertise and a wealth of experience.

“We want to re-establish ourselves as a serious property competitor in the West Rand, differentiating ourselves by further building long-term sustainable relationships and leveraging off businesses that have existing clients where we hope to establish mutually beneficial relationships,” says Vickers.  

He says he is very excited about the opportunity to be part of this exciting business.  

He sees his new role at Seeff as one of continuing and adding to the momentum generated by Seeff’s extensive national sales network, he says. 

Vickers says he has been impressed by the high standard amongst the agents and the commitment to professionalism throughout the group.
