According to preliminary results from the 2013 RISMedia Power Broker Report Top 500, RE/MAX agents continue to lead the US real estate industry, ranking as the most productive among the national real estate franchises.
The report shows the productivity of the brands agents was more than double the average of other competing agents in 2012. An analysis of the data also shows that 71 brokerages were among the best 100 when ranked by transaction sides per agent.
RE/MAX CEO Margaret Kelly says that year after year, RE/MAX agents outperform their national competitors whether it’s in the difficult market seen a few years ago or the recovering market there is today, consumers know which agents are best able to help them with their real estate needs.
According to the report, in 2012, the brands agents averaged 16.9 transaction sides each – an increase of 11 percent over their 2011 performance. The average for all other agents in the report was 8.1 sides. Kelly says the numbers are a tribute to the professionalism and dedication of every one of their agents and offices. “They’ve never been satisfied with just doing what’s expected. They’re always going above and beyond.”
The preliminary report ranks the country’s 500 best performing brokerages by total transaction sides. RE/MAX led all competitors by qualifying the most brokerages, 116, among the 500 participating brokerages. RISMedia will release a final Power Broker report later this spring, which will include a total of 1 000 brokerages. The preliminary data was published in this month’s edition of RISMedia’s Real Estate magazine.
Adrian Goslett, CEO of RE/MAX of Southern Africa, says that locally RE/MAX of Southern Africa has also achieved remarkable results having taken top honours at the RE/MAX Las Vegas convention in March this year, when the region was awarded as the top performing one in the world.
“On average RE/MAX of Southern Africa agents outsell the industry by three to one," he says. RE/MAX of Southern Africa agents account for approximately 5 percent of all agents in the country, but are responsible for over 15 percent of the property sales transactions. He says they have experienced rapid expansion with over 30 franchises opened in the Southern African region during 2012, bringingthe RE/MAX of Southern Africa network to over 170 offices and 1 800 agents.
RE/MAX of Southern Africa was adjudged South Africa’s Franchisor of the year for all categories by FASA in 2003 and was ranked as the largest real estate brand in the country in a Finweek survey feature during 2011. Goslett says that the brand will continue on its path of success by attracting productive estate agents who offer great customer service and want to enjoy the benefits of being part of the dominant worldwide real estate brand.
