The 130 square metre section of the building in 20C Langenhoven Street, Durbanville is just 200 metres from the town centre and opposite Durbanville High School. The building is owned by Roussouw Theron and the lease has a total capital value of R450 000.
Louis Schoeman, Rawson Properties’ Durbanville franchisee, says he now has sufficient space for 15 agents. At the moment he employs eight but, as the franchise is expanding and recruitment is ongoing, he believes that satellite offices in other areas will need to be established in the foreseeable future.
Schoeman says the high profile position in relation to the high school has resulted in many spontaneous enquiries. In the ten months since Schoeman took over the franchise, it has almost doubled its sales turnover and the staff have set their sights on becoming the biggest operation of this kind in Durbanville.
