A new phase is being launched at a well-known secure development in Cape Town’s Northern Suburbs and transfers will be taking place from early 2011.

Situated in a central location in Durbanville, on one of the area’s original farms, Heerenzicht Estate was first launched to market in 2004. Its first 20 plots attracted an elite group of buyers.

The second phase consists of 12 additional plots ranging in size from 1,210sqm to 1,689sqm, and the minimum built footprint will be a spacious 350sqm. Prices range from R2,299m to R2,975m, inclusive of VAT.

Pam Golding Properties’ (PGP) area manager for the Northern Suburbs, Maureen Nel, says this new phase at Heerenzicht will be an excellent investment opportunity. “This is one of the final undeveloped portions of land still available in Vygeboom, which is often referred to as the ‘Bishopscourt of the Northern Suburbs’,” she says.

“The new section is located on a prime 2,1ha of land adjacent to, but set slightly apart from, the existing estate, to ensure privacy and space. It will enjoy an extension of all of the existing security features, including perimeter electric fencing and walls, a 24-hour manned guardhouse, electronic beams, a two-way intercom system and security camera network.

“This will make it an ideal secure lock-up-and-go purchase for business executives who travel frequently, as well as providing peace of mind for all residents.”

Buyers will be able to use their own architect and builder of choice to erect their dream home, within the architectural guidelines governing the overall aesthetic of the estate.

Transfers are expected from early 2011, and buyers have three years in which to build.

The estate’s landscaped gardens, water features and manicured lawns will all be fed by an on-site borehole.
