Nearly all of the sites at a gated development in KwaZulu-Natal's Underberg have been sold.
Moira Bath and Angela Walker, joint area principals for Pam Golding Properties (PGP), report that sales at The Meadows Country Estate to date comprise a mix of buyers mainly from the north and south coast of KwaZulu-Natal, purchasing homes either to retire to or as leisure homes.
The stands are freehold, mini-subs, each approximately 900sq m and priced from R325k to R440k.
"The estate includes two dams for fishing, boating and bird watching, swimming pool, tennis court and practice wall, 1500m perimeter track for jogging and cycling, picnic site and braai areas, a golf course located on the western boundary, clubhouse and children's play area with swings, slide, jungle gym and sand pit."
A 1,8m palisade fence encircles the estate which has remote control access linked to each home. In addition, there is low-intensity lighting installed along the roads.
Purchasers can choose from five design styles and are afforded the flexibility of making changes to suit their own preference, or even design their own plans – with all plans requiring approval by a nominated review panel. All owners are required to join the home owners' association which manages the common areas within the estate.
