The problem with most children is that if there isn't an easy place to hang it - they don't.
Here's the perfect solution to the problem. Combining learning in more ways than one!
You will need:
Steel numbers - easily available at your local hardware store (or cut them out of 9mm supawood)
Fischer wall plugs (SX or UX) and screws
Decorative coat hooks
Drill/driver plus assorted drill and screw bits
Spirit level
Tape measure
Pencil
Here's how:
1. Measure and mark the positioning on the wall for the numbers and hooks. This is where you will definitely need to use a spirit level to ensure that they are straight.
2. Drill the correct diameter holes for the wall plugs, remembering that the depth of the hole needs to be at least 5mm longer than the length of the wall plugs.
3. Attach the numbers and coat hooks to the wall.
DIY tip:
It is essential to use Fischer wall plugs for this application to guarantee that the hooks will not easily pull out of the wall. – Janice Anderssen
