RealNet franchisee Nelis Bezuidenhout has been named by the Institute of Estate Agents (IEASA) as its Agent of the Year 2011.

This was in the category for estate agents working with assistants.

Bezuidenhout was also recognised at the RealNet national awards as the Agent of the Year in the units sold category.

He owns the RealNet Wapadglen franchise which specialises in selling townhouses in the eastern suburbs of Pretoria, namely Faerie Glen, Garsfontein, Olympus and Wapadrand.

An accountant by training, he has been involved in the real estate industry for the past 14 years and for the past few years has concentrated on Sectional Title units.

RealNet Holdings managing director Jan Davel says the property market was definitely not the easiest industry to be operating in during 2011 and further that sales figures such as those notched up by Bezuidenhout did not just happen by themselves, no matter what the state of the market.

“They are the result of great perseverance and diligence, insight and an unfailingly positive attitude and we applaud Bezuidenhout for having all those and for his exceptional performance.”

He adds that the RealNet group is always appreciative of this type of effort and example.
