Developers, Atterbury describe this new venture as an exceptional mixed-use node located across the road from the Pretoria Country Club which is set to cost R550 million.

Ideally situated in Hazelwood adjacent to Dely Road, it’s proximity to the new Garsfontein off-ramp ensures easy access to the N1 highway motorway.

The Club is closely located to the Pretoria CBD, Menlyn, Hatfield, Waterkloof and Brooklyn.

This Pretoria landmark development will comprise more than 30 000 square metres of quality retail, restaurants and office space on completion.

Atterbury is undertaking the development of The Club in four phases, targeted for completion by 2013.

The first phase consists of almost 5 000 square metres prime A-grade office building with three floors of inspirational workspace covering some 4 200 square metres gross lettable area.

Offices at The Club were completed last month and the ground-floor retail spans some 800 square metres and is host to chic restaurants including the popular Café 41 scheduled to open soon.

The second phase is a similar mixed-use building comprising of offices and restaurants, extending the concept and energy of the first phase.

A total refurbishment of the existing office building on the site will take the development into phase three.

The final phase includes the ambitious full redevelopment of the existing The Club Shopping Centre into an 8 400 square metres high-end shopping centre.

“Retailers will be carefully selected to ensure the ideal tenant mix for this exclusive shopping destination,” says Louis van der Watt, chief executive officer of Atterbury Group.

He says they envisage this to include a leading food anchor as well as premier fashion retailers.

He adds that timeless elegance created through thoughtfulness to the design have inspired what promises to be a much-used and loved public building in the fabric of the city and a quality property asset for Atterbury. – Denise Mhlanga
