This year the Gauteng Homemakers Expo celebrates 20 years of exhibition excellence.  

This year the Gauteng Homemakers Expo celebrates 20 years of exhibition excellence.

The home interest expo, which offers lifestyle and home improvement products, will take place at the Coca-Cola Dome from 28 February to 3 March 2013. 

Furniture and décor feature

This year’s line-up of South African home lifestyle brands will be spearheaded by a furniture and décor feature, Urban Interiors,whichdemonstrates a 360 degree design solution for small spaces.

Decorator’s challenge

Visitors can also look forward to the Decorator’s Challenge, Divide & Conquer,on the Upper Level of the venue.

The challenge will be presented to you by a popular group of designers who will showcase a complete design solution for bi- or multi-functional room spaces. 

This year’s line-up of South African home lifestyle brands will be spearheaded by a furniture and décor feature, Urban Interiors, which demonstrates a 360 degree design solution for small spaces.

Dave Nemeth, a well-known designer, called his inspiring design ‘Urban Originals’. His design features a lounge, bar, dining room and study. 

Ronel Gouws from Studio 3 Internationals Architects will present a must-see combination, with a raised floor concealing and revealing a lounge, study, sleep, bathroom and entertainment area. His design is called ‘verBorgen’.   

Décor expert, Amanda van Wyngaardt’s design, ‘Creative Jungle,’ is an inspiring and exotic blend of a conservatory, studio and dining room. 

The award winning, Phil Darby from PDI Design Consultants, has set up a bathroom and dresser/BIC area into one space called ‘Elegant indulgence’ within which to experience many captivating and surprising aspects.

Erika Prinsloo’s design, ‘Abode ‘d Cuisine’, is one that we all love and know so well, the hub of the home combined with a charming kitchen by Sterlings Living and 

Glyn + Niels Rudolph from ORA. The outdoor boutique designed an electrical space called ‘Vita Urbana’ for a bachelor.  It combines an outdoor area, entertainment area and man cave. 

Builders DIY Theatre

Catch Aidan Bennetts and Tanya Visser with a host of DIY experts at the Builders DIYTheatre. 

The Totai Gas Pavilion

Learn more about how efficient gas, a clean, reliable and cost effective form of energy, will play an increasingly important role on the home front. 

The Pavilion will deal with the importance of safety, professional installation and the many facets of domestic application such as gas heating at home, water heating solutions, cooling (fridges and freezers), leisure outdoor activities and lighting. 

The Glade Sensorium

Experience the fourth dimension of design and enhance your sensory experience. 

The Glade Sensorium presents a collection of three rooms inspired by three fragrances. 

Each scent complements the tone and style of each room so look forward to experiencing the art of matching fragrance with décor.

On Thursday and Friday doors open from 10am until 7pm and 9am until 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. Adults can expect to pay R80 for a ticket and R50 for pensioners.
