In Gauteng, Aucor Property will hold a multiple auction on 16 October at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Rosebank, Johannesburg from 12pm.
Prime commercial, retail and residential properties to the total value of R250 million will come under the hammer on the day.
One such property to feature is a prime commercial piece of land in Corporate Park North in Randjespark, Midrand.
Stands 447 and 448 have a total extent of 22 461 square metres and have been allocated special zoning.
This is an established large commercial and industrial development conveniently located between the N1 freeway and Old Johannesburg Road, with easy access from both Olifantsfontein Road and Samrand Avenue.
The current extension of Olifantsfontein Road also provides convenient access to the R21 connecting the area to the East Rand.
Featuring numerous blue chip companies and with over 80 percent of the overall property developed, the park has excellent security and is fully walled and features electric fencing.
A proper access controlled point is operated off Old Johannesburg Road.
All internal roads within the facility are tarred and each stand has been allocated 100KVA of power.
John Hislop, broker at Aucor Property says they regularly get calls from buyers and developers looking for good quality, well located land in and around the Johannesburg and Pretoria areas.
“Corporate Park North would appeal to these buyers as a halfway point between the two cities and an added benefit to the locality of the property is the Gautrain Midrand station, which is located in the area on the K101.”
Hislop says it’s very rare to see two stands of this size come onto the market with all services in place.
This means that a buyer or developer would be able to start building immediately on the land without the added task of having to obtain permits and clearances from city council.
Due to the impressive size of the property a warehouse facility of up to 11 000 square metres could be custom built, he says.
A vacant plot in Retreat in the Western Cape will be auctioned on site on 18 October at 12pm.
Tanya Jovanovski, Western Cape franchisee for Rawson Auctions, says the plot which is located close to Zwaanwyk Academy, Sweet Valley Primary, Bergvliet High School and a number of other good schools would be the perfect place to build a family home.
The 294 square metre plot is located in central Zwaans Road in Retreat and it is one of very few vacant plots available in the area.
It is within walking distance of the recently upgraded Blue Route Mall and is a stone’s throw from the Retreat train and bus stations.
Retreat is also only a 25 minute drive from the centre of Cape Town and it is close to Main Road, as well as, both the M3 and M5 highways, she says.
Jovanovski says she expects offers from R290k (plus 10 percent commission) - significantly below the price that was paid for it by the current owners who are relocating.
