Two of Gauteng’s top estate agents were named FNB’s Property Professionals of the Year at the prestigious event held in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Jan Kleynhans (CEO of FNB Home Loans), Ryan Chaitowitz (winner of the FNB Property Professionals) and Rudi Botha (convenor of the Property Association)
The awards pays homage to estate agents throughout South Africa who have shown that they have what it takes to be leaders in the industry.
Ryan Chaitowitz and Salmon Frisby from Firzt Realty Company formed the partnership 11 years ago. They operate in Sandton suburbs of Atholl, Illovo and Inanda and have recently started selling in Parkhurst and Parktown North.
The Property Professional Awards, sponsored by FNB and the Property Association is the only independent event that recognises and rewards estate agents nationally for their work in the real estate industry.
The two have a proven track record and devote their time to training and motivating their team of canvassers and show-house attendants that they employ.
“We believe that part of our team’s success is due to the similar strengths that we share. “The fact that we are both able to prospect properties and negotiate to reach a favourable outcome between all parties has proved to be a contributing factor to our exceptionally good sales statistics,” says Chaitowitz and Salmon.
The duo competed with 14 other entrants before eventually emerging as the industry champions.
Rudi Botha, convenor of the Property Association says the calibre of this year’s entries show that there are estate agents out there who refuse to accept mediocrity and who drive themselves to achieve their goals.
“This year’s entrants proved that regardless of the on-going challenges facing these professionals, those who truly had the will to succeed would continue to do so.”
The candidates were judged in a number of different areas including sales figures and service excellence. They were also evaluated on their professionalism, community involvement and overall dedication to the industry.
Jan Kleynhans, chief executive officer of FNB Home Loans says the 14 finalists came from all around the country which is indicative of a nationwide commitment to excellence.
“We salute everyone who has entered and urge others who meet the criteria to put their names forward for next year’s event,” he says.
Chaitowitz and Frisby received a floating trophy as well as a R35 000 travel voucher.
Bill Rawson, chairman of the Rawson Property Group was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award and Francois Du Pisani from Chas Everitt named Rookie of the Year (a new category) – Denise Mhlanga
