I am still uming and ahing over the design for my new closet. The existing cabinets do nothing for me - I'm constantly creating a mess as I try to find what I am looking for. The shelves are too deep the hanging space is not wide enough, and who really uses the space right at the top of the closet, except possibly for junk.
Having recently stumbled upon new design ideas from ClosetMaid , I thought it would be nice to share some of the stunning ideas they have come up with. They might inspire you to rip out and install a new closet.
Image 1 & 2 – Closet for girls:
No matter what the age, we girls need space for our stuff - and plenty of it.
I like the idea of replacing closet doors with curtains, which take up less floor space and make it easier to get into the entire closet.
Bi-fold doors are also a solution that take up less space, as are sliding doors.
Image 3 – Closet for boys:
Little boys need closet space too, and this is a great idea to combine closet and storage space into one compact unit.
Plus, they'll have no excuse for not hanging their clothes!

Image 4 – Studio apartment:
Great idea for a studio apartment - a curtain closes off the dressing section to allow more privacy.
An easy and affordable DIY project, you will be able to buy all the supplies you need at your local Builders Warehouse .
Grab a couple of chrome towel rail brackets that can be mounted into ceiling battens and install a chrome pole to hang up curtains.

Image 5 – Studio or loft apartment
Not a big fan of the wire rack storage system, but it does look great in a studio or loft apartment.
The only downside of this arrangement is the act of keeping it organised all the time!

Image 6 – Lots of space:
This is my type of closet: it has plenty of hanging space, built in shoe racks, drawers for underwear and smaller items - perfect!
Plus it even has bi-fold doors. However, I do like the look of the transparent sliding doors.
