An eclectic range of commercial and residential properties will come under the gavel at an auction on Tuesday 20 July.

“We have a number of excellent properties on auction, all with strong investment potential and purchasers can pick from several good options. The market is still in buyers’ favour, so this sale presents a good opportunity for anyone looking for a positive return on property within the next three to four years,” says Aucor’s property head, Paul Winterstein.

The first, an office block situated in Richards Drive, Midrand, offers 1,271sqm of office space, a fully equipped canteen, fitted kitchen and 80 parking bays.

Four warehouses with a combined gross lettable area (GLA) of 934sqm are on a lower level, and can be separately let. They are accessed via roller shutter doors and are serviced by offices, male and female ablutions with shower facilities and canteen. Roof height of the warehouses is above average for the area and access for large vehicles is considered good with extensive yard space.

The second option is the Limpopo Safari Game Ranch located 38km from Naboomspruit, in the Waterberg in Limpopo. The farm is on 697 hectares and is surrounded by game and citrus farms. It has abundant game, is fenced and is a fully functional, fully equipped, hunting and safari farm. The lodge, together with chalets and tented accommodation, sleeps 62 people.

Another site on the auction’s agenda is the Marlands Shopping Centre in Germiston. Marlands is an older suburb of Germiston, which was established primarily as a residential suburb.

The centre comprises 11 retail shops, with a supermarket as anchor tenant. The building covers 54% of the total combined stands with one freestanding Standard Bank ATM in one corner. The location is excellent – it is the only convenience shopping centre in the immediate surrounds with access off the N12 via Kraft Road making it convenient for commuters.

Three sectional title units in Ferndale, Randburg, will be sold separately. Each double-storey 240sqm unit, located in a secure office park, has an entrance hall with a staircase leading to the top floor. As such, letting opportunities are flexible as each unit can be occupied by a different tenant (one on each floor).

Units 5 and 6 are joined together, but can be used separately. The premises are well-kept and have good security with an electric fence all round. Access to the N1 is easy thanks to the buildings’ location just off Malibongwe Drive.
