, situated in Stellenbosch
, has won the Wine Capital Global Network Best of Wine Tourism Competition in the Significant Wine Tourism Experience category. The estate is expanding and is now going to offer a lifestyle estate for over 50s as well.
Not only has owner Harold Johnson transformed Zevenwacht into a prime destination, he has created residential estates on portions of Zevenwacht that are greatly sought after, not surprising, given their magnificent setting and offer of excellent investment returns.
When Johnson put his most recent development, plots at Langverwacht, on the market around a year ago they sold out in 3 days at prices ranging from R650k to R980k. Today they are reselling at from R775k. Seeff Stellenbosch
has just been granted sole mandate by Johnson to market a new residential lifestyle estate for the over 50s on Zevenwacht.
Says Pierre Germishuys, Manager of Seeff Stellenbosch: "It is excellent news that Harold Johnson has created another opportunity at Zevenwacht. The new Zevenwacht Lifestyle Estate
is going to offer 99 up market, two and three bedroomed units with double garages for the over 50s, as well as a close link to a fully equipped frail care unit and a further associated 36 one-bedroomed units.
The official launch is planned for January, when further details will be announced. Seeff
will have dedicated offices on site at Zevenwacht, at the wine tasting centre."
More exciting news is that a brand new road linking Stellenbosch directly to Zevenwacht is to be completed by April or May 2007. Says Germishuys: "This will make the route to Zevenwacht from Stellenbosch a whole 1.6 km long. This road will also extend onto the Bottelary Road in future, so that people can also access the estate from that side. This is yet another boon for this remarkably successful venture by owner-developer Johnson."
