City Lodge opens hotel at OR Tambo

City Lodge at OR Tambo Airport opened its first 78 rooms on Wednesday 9 March, becoming the 46th hotel in the City Lodge Hotels (CLH) group.
The 303-room hotel, situated on three levels above a new car park at the airport, will be fully open by the end of May.
Costing around R210m to develop, the hotel is operated by City Lodge through a land and building lease agreement with the Airports Company of South Africa.
The partial opening comes just a week after the group fully opened its 45th hotel, the 211-room City Lodge Fourways.
Once it is fully operational, City lodge at OR Tambo Airport will employ around 110 people and will easily be the largest hotel in the City Lodge Hotels group which operates the Courtyard, City Lodge Town Lodge and Road Lodge brands across South Africa.
The hotel also has its own set of arrival and departure screens so that guests and visitors to the hotel can be kept totally up to date with aircraft comings and goings at the airport.
