The Chas Everitt International property group is showing its determination to expand its presence in KwaZulu-Natal by opening a regional support office in Umhlanga next year.

The Chas Everitt International property group plans to open three new offices in KwaZulu-Natal over the next few weeks.

The group plans to have three offices open in the next few weeks and is particularly keen on developing a stronger holiday letting presence in KZN, says business development director Gerhard Kotzé.

He says they will be bringing their acclaimed Notebook© licence concept and are anticipating a good response from agents ready to go into business on their own account.

“We have already piloted the concept here and believe it will be a winner, too, for existing independent agencies that are successful in their own areas but would now like to be part of a national group that will give them access to much bigger marketing and training resources,” Kotzé says.

The Chas Everitt Notebook© system is specifically designed to accommodate top performing agents and independent principals who wish to have their own businesses without all the traditional costs and structures associated with a full franchise set-up.

Kotzé says their aim is to allow people to have their own businesses and trade for their own account under a strong brand. "The licence grants an operator the right to use the Chas Everitt International brand, its systems, websites, marketing material and training within a defined area at a much-reduced entry and operational cost.”

He adds substantial savings are made because Notebook© licence holders don't have to operate from formal office premises or have to hire administrative staff, as their system lets them handle their own transactions.

Although licences in specific areas are limited to prevent over-trading, Kotzésays the system enables licence holders to work together to create a stronger presence in a territory while still owning their own businesses.

The concept has caught on in the real estate industry over the past three years and there are 30 Notebook© licensees successfully operating around South Africa, in locations as diverse as Boschendal Estate, Midvaal and Mossel Bay.
