Cape Town's new homes below R435k

Home buyers looking for affordable homes priced between R389k and R435k for one bedroom apartments need to check out Cap de Via in Cape Town.

Construction on Cap de Via – the new small security village under development in Bloubergrant on Cape Town’s Western Seaboard begins next month and occupation is expected in December 2012.

Located on the corner of Arum and Popham Roads, the double-storey development will occupy a conveniently central location, within easy walking distance of the Blouberg beachfront and extensive retail and recreational facilities. 

Pam Golding Properties (PGP) has the exclusive mandate to market the one bedroom apartments priced from R389 000 to R435 000, inclusive of VAT. 

Seven of the units have already been sold, leaving only six still available for purchase. 

PGP’s development manager for the Western Seaboard, Ivan Swart, says the apartments will make an ideal home for young single professionals, newly-married couples and younger retirees, as well as those looking for a secure lock-up-and-go holiday pad in Cape Town. 

“This is an excellent purchase for those who want to obtain a foothold in the property market, without stretching their budgets to impossible levels,” he says. 

Swart says the pricing is extremely competitive, being at least 10 to 15 percent lower than the typical asking price for similar sized units in the same area. 

Security is excellent, with both access control and electrified perimeter fencing and for those who are reliant on public transport, it is particularly attractive, as the Blaauwberg Road IRT bus station is just 200m from the front door, he says.   

This means residents can commute to work without the stresses of traffic congestion and petrol price hikes. 

Those who do have their own vehicles can park them safely in the allocated open-air parking bays, while fully-enclosed garages can be purchased at an additional cost, he explains.

Swart notes that the recently-renovated Bayside Mall is close by with amenities and eateries also found on the beachfront, which is just three blocks away from Cap de Via. 

PGP’s managing director for the Western Cape metro region, Laurie Wener, says another selling point, especially for retirees, is the proximity to the state-of-the-art Netcare Blouberg Hospital.
