Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) would like to inform Brakpan residents of planned power supply scheduled interruptions.
EMM says the outages are due to the installation of protective structures by the municipality at the suburbs of Sonneveld, Van Eck Park Ext 2, Dalpark Ext 13 and Brakpan North Ext 2.
The work commenced on 30 July and will be completed on 8 August between 8am and 4.30pm at each area.
The metro advises that all electrical networks and equipment be regarded as being electrically alive at all times while the maintenance is performed.
In Sonneveld (Graaf/Farqharson (town houses) Street) and Van Eck Park Ext 2 (Coert Steynberg Street) will be installed on 31 July.
On 1 August, Van Eck Park Ext 2 (Coert Steynberg Street) and Dalpark Ext 13 (Pendoring Street) on 2 August.
Dalpark Ext 13 (Rangeview and Nossob Streets) on 3 and 6 August, on 7 August, Brakpan North Ext 2 (Craven and Waldeck Streets) and on 8 August Brakpan North Ext 2 (Swansen and Van Lingen Streets) will be affected.
