A boutique game lodge with a distinctly Afro-European style will go under the hammer on the second Savile Row Auction to be held at Summer Place in Hyde Park on 25 August.
Olievenfontein Game Farm comprises 330ha and is located 45km from
Vaalwater in the
Limpopo province. The lodge was originally developed by the late Mr. Giorgio Zucchi to accommodate his family and friends visiting from Europe.
The lodge sleeps 14 people in 4 fully furnished self-catering chalets. The main house has 2 bedrooms en suite, kitchen, lounge, loft and a pool. The chalets and main house are positioned around a clubhouse with its own kitchen, dining area, fireplace and pool. The positioning of these units allows for the entertaining of one large party of guests or up to five smaller groups while still providing the privacy not always on offer at other similar smaller bush lodges.
Bordering on the Waterberg Game Park, the fence between the two properties was removed in the 1990s resulting in a much bigger property where a larger number and greater variety of game species could be accommodated. This agreement has proved mutually beneficial to both parties and it would be advisable that the new owner continues the relationship. With 13 species of game, a fully equipped lodge complete with game drive vehicle and two service vehicles, Olievenfontein Game Farm is expected to create a buzz at Summer Place on the 25th August as it will be sold without a reserve.
The property will be on show and can be viewed between 20 and 23 August.
