Decorex Cape Town will showcase a number of innovative décor ventures at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 25 to 28 April 2013.
Event organisers have invited the country’s top decorators to design beautiful, functional living spaces under the theme ‘Bliss’.
This motif will be interpreted into colour schemes, furniture arrangements, window treatments and accessories that can be duplicated in your own home.
This year, Decorex Cape Town will introduce The Tea Room - a calm, contemporary space featuring an illustrated backdrop, hand drawn by one of Cape Town’s leading artists. The room also places emphasis on homemade crafts and comforts.
The show also includes the Bliss Entrance Feature. Tracey Lee Lynch, Cape Town based stylist and designer, will display an installation of ‘Bliss’ through a mix of historical and contemporary designs, which give off a sense of whimsical nostalgia.
The Plascon Spaces Studio will offer visitors specialised advice on painting techniques, colour trends and surface treatments.
Visitors can also head to the Samsung Inspire Theatre for interactive talks, live demonstrations and how-to sessions.
Doors open at 10am until 7pm. Tickets cost R70 for adults, R60 for pensioners and students, and R10 for children under the age of 12.
