SA real estate giant Homenet has opened a new office to serve homebuyers and sellers in the Vaal Dam area.
The new office, Homenet Vaaldam, is located in the Vaal Marina.
The Vaal Dam region, he says, has solid demand, with areas such as Deneysville, Oranjeville and Vaal Marina still very much on the radar of aspiring homebuyers.
He adds that the market drivers are extremely varied however, from businessmen and entrepreneurs seeking to live in a rural environment while being within commuting distance of their businesses, to leisure homeowners and retirees.
"The choice of property available in the area is also wide, ranging from entry-level townhouses to stand-alone homes and millionaires' mansions. Price growth has slowed but is still moving ahead and a number of new developments are under way, although services bottlenecks remain a problem.
"Entry-level prices for stands are around R230k and an entry-level townhouse would cost you about R950k."
