A Gordon's Bay property, which includes a house with nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms and five cottages, will come to auction at noon on 27 January 2010.
It will be the Rawson Properties Auction Division's first auction and will take place on site.
The property is situated on the slopes of the Protea Heights and is 1,01 hectares in extent and consists of a large home as well as five two-bedroom cottages.
The main house has nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms, of which seven are en suite. The bathrooms are of modern design and boast upmarket finishes. There are large open plan entertainment and living areas.
The newly renovated kitchen has granite tops and a gas stove as well as two sculleries/pantries. The property offers three garages and lots of parking as well as a guard house at the front gate.
Part of the main house consists of a self-contained flatlet with open plan kitchen, lounge, dining room and two bedrooms.
The swimming pool is situated in front of the main living areas. There is a borehole on the property that provides water to all surrounding homes. There is also a small dam at the bottom of the property.
It would be ideal as a lodge, B&B or guest house because of the multi-roomed main house and five cottages that all have two bedrooms, kitchen and lounges.
These cottages could also be rented out if the owner wanted to live in the main house and create long-term rental income on his/her doorstep.
The property is very accessible from the N2 from Old Sir Lowry's Road.

Nice place, but unfortunately the name of the bay itself (Gordons) seems to make it sound like a Pommy place, with an ultra high count of red heads ill adapted to beachcomber life, who walk around with bowling hats and long sleeve clothing, while touching up with luminous lip balm, and climbing into a bottom of the range Land Rover with "Plymouth" stickers on them. – Anonymous
