Beach wedding at Strandkombuis

Situated outside the Western Cape town of Langebaan, Strandkombuis is a stylish but informal, open air seafood restaurant on 16 Mile Beach.  

It offers rustic scenery and serves superb seafood and freshly baked bread as well as West Coast crayfish and snoek. 

Wedding guests can be accommodated near the wedding venue and when the time comes, they can join the bride and groom on the beach or wooden deck for the ceremony. 

Strandkombuis can accommodate 80 guests who’ll enjoy the long stretch of pristine beach, beautiful views of Table Mountain, breathtaking sea views and the clever use of a Bedouin tent to protect the party against the wind. 

Lythwood Lodge has an elegant, romantic country atmosphere with a pond and fountain feature. The lodge is able to cater for 250 guests and can offer them parking.

The venue is furnished with a dance floor, a wooden deck and half of it is covered with a permanent roof. 

The bride can bring in her own decorators who can complement the fynbos on the dunes and the endless blue ocean or one can be recommended for her. 

Strandkombuis also offers adequate guest parking. 

Lythwood Lodge country wedding

Lythwood Lodge is nestled in the hills of the Natal Midlands and is situated on a 275 acre estate, close to Nottingham Road. 

Bordered by the Lions River and surrounded by an indigenous forest, the lodge is home to Yellowwood and Cape Chestnut trees, Purple Crested Lourie, the endangered Cape Parrot, and the elusive Bushbuck and Porcupine.

A wedding for a 100 guests costs R 58 000 and includes venue hire, a three course dinner, accommodation for 10 guests, a wedding photographer and other services. 

Garonga bush wedding

Step back in time as you say your vows on the platform, with the old steam train in the background at Capital Park Station.

Voted as one of the most romantic hotels in Africa, Garonga is the perfect venue for an intimate bush wedding. 

Garonga Safari Camp and Little Garonga are exclusive camps situated in the greater Makalali Conservancy, west of the Kruger National Park. 

Couples can have their ceremony at the pool deck or in the bush itself or at the sleep-out deck. 

There is nothing more romantic than the intoxicating atmosphere of the African bush and  Garonga can host intimate weddings of up to 20 guests.

Rovos Rail wedding

A Rovos Rail wedding at the Capital Park station in Pretoria is a unique and special occasion. 

Capital Park station has been beautifully restored to its former glory and makes for a stunning venue to host a wedding. 

Elegant and opulent, guests will feel like they have stepped back in time as you say your vows on the platform,with the old steam train in the background. 

The décor is reminiscent of old world glamour from the 1920s and the station can host 120 guests. 

Wedding photographs can be taken on the grounds, with the trains as a backdrop. 

Capital Park station also offers a gracious reception room, the awaiting train. 

Guests will have access to secure parking. 

Hictoric Vrede en Lust wedding

At the foot of Simonsberg, in South Africa’s most celebrated Franschhoek wine valley, lies Vrede en Lust.
